Which camera are you using?
The easiest way to record the proms is either to push up the gain setting until they are visible and/ or increase the exposure until they show.
Stacking in AS3! or ImPPG will bring them out.
A bit of "majic" with PSP, separate the proms and add them to a normal surface exposure.
