When I began this hobby some time ago I was shown this barred spiral through a 20" Dob in a small town down south called Bass. It was a sight that I've stored in my memory.
15 years down the track I decided to take to photographing it.
Here is a 67x1min@ISO1000 image of this glorious star factory, "The Southern Pinwheel"(very similar to our own galaxy astronomers say).
