Raymo, here is one thing you can try first...

Backup any data onto an external/removal drive first.

When you go to restart from within Windows, hold the <SHIFT> button as you click on the Restart option. It will give you some advanced options. One of those is to reset Windows to it's default state.

The only negative with this is that you will need to reinstall any software again, but you would have to do this if you return the computer anyway.

Consider giving it a try, it is a relatively quick process.
