Poor spider

The first time I came up here (Tabulam) with the eight inch f5 I did a short capture of the spider and along with most of the early stuff from the thru it out in an effort to tidy up and organise fo rthe future.

But this morning I found this which is all that remains.

It was the result of a number of 30 second captures and early attempts at processing in light room..unfortunately I cropped it and well just ruined it I guess...

but in an effort to show some result and show what one can get with short unguided exposures..so if starting and you cant get perfect alignment so longer subs are not possible I suggest simply drop exposure time until the stars dont trail and at least you will get a reasonably sharp not trailed image.

So have a go.

And although it has problems I am happy with how crisp it was now that I look more closely.
