Thats what we need Peter. Something that will get folk thinking about having a go.

Folk following this may not think to look up a star chart but with your directions my decide to have a go.

I dont think I can manage it in Sydney myself but thats ok... all I do down there is try to get the scope aligned or rebuild the mount ...countless times... up here not that much either.

When I bought the eight inch I was waiting for M31 to move to a reasoanable hour...its been so long with so little sky for me.

I have been thinking of a trip out West and spent yesterday afternoon looking on google Earth...Ironically I found I little place with nothing but the pub, with accomodation and looked around in street view you could see you could stay there and image in the grounds around the cabins er maybe just cabin...then looking down the street I could see there were puddles on the ground..such is my ability to bring rain..I only have to think of going someplace and it rains it seems.

I think I could break droughts with simply announcing my intention to visit.

I was thinking about going to Chille but I dont want to cause mud slides.

Anyways may I thank you for being the guiding force behind this encouraging thing for beginnners I expect your following will grow. Great job.
