Superficially it sounds good, except for the pay and location. But really, how many times do you want to explain the difference between a dobs and a GEM or how to calculate magnification and fov? I'm used to explaining things
once to PhD students. I'm not sure I have the patience or grace required.
Of course, if the employer was willing to support extensive field work so that I could become thoroughly familiar with their product range I might become a bit more civil to the customers.
