When I once pulled down my Sampson mount I replaced the grease in it with a mix of wheel bearing grease and Nulon Teflon Gearbox addidive. The little gearbox that the shyncronous motor drives, I flushed that out with degreaser, then filled it with a mix of wheelbearing grease, EP gear oil and the teflon additive. It should last well beyond my lifetime now
