Dad was in the RAF stationed in Canada flying a Catalina aircraft looking for U-Boats in the great lakes. Whenever he got a weekend pass he drove to New York to visit all the night clubs there. He was lucky and got to see all the famous jazz bands of that era, one of his favorites was Fats Waller playing in Greenwich village. Fats produced over 4000 records in 10 years of his career.
He handed down to me 400+ records, which I am gradually saving the audio to my hard drive. Most are in good condition and scratch free.
