Wow Colin that's an awesome scope you have
I can see the stars are kinda triangular
.... and that makes sense given your description of the difference across the meridian problem but this is really only noticeable at full res. I hope you get it sorted, having such a potentially mighty fine instrument you would want it returning excellent stars across your relatively small chip...lucky you aren't using a 16803 chip!!!
