My neighbours seem to leave lights on to help their grass grow I think! Both back neighbours have flood lights aimed horizontally, to cover their whole backyards, and mine....
I observe with my dogs (astro-dogs) in the yard - you should see the size of their pupils in the dark - must be 12mm+ at least
. If only ours could dilate so far! I'm sure the dog sees just fine in the dark with those pupils, the light probably more annoys the poor thing....

Funny though he doesnt seem to care enough to actually go out and play with it for even 5 minutes in a week (nor can I recall when it was actually walked, if ever), but it can't be left to sleep in the dark....
