Hello everyone
I would love to up-scale my CGE-DX eq mount.... no $$$ (like most of us) for new and fancy stuff....
So, my plan is to get an oldie, but a goodie eq mount without go-to.
Then cannibalize the Celestron for the electronics ... modify the transfer gearbox for the worm gear etc. It's an ATM project.
So, what I'm after is an old G11, perhaps a Titan (
) with busted electronics... or motors. If the G11 has a non go-to stepper that good too. This will be my permanent setup in my yet to build observatory, so no need tripod... eq head only.
The reason I prefer G11, is for the worm gear ratio... 360:1 ...so I can modify the transfer gear without much trouble.
Let me know what you have for sale, and for how much.
I hope for a dusty old G11/Titan with busted electronics for a good price
