150mm with my QHY8 is about the sweet spot for the clouds. Fits nicely. Did a lot of color an Ha on them much better from NSW. They're very low from QLD and I had to pull my tent down to get the LMC but when the milkyway goes down West, there's not much to image at 150mm in color until the pleiades and orion get up.

Got the lens only this time, no scope. I figured the seeing would be average so no point getting anything longer. Astrofest is always good value. Great venue and people. Very relaxed.
