Hey Matt, Asi might be a better person to ask re settings, I've only just started playing around. The televue 3x I reckon will be pretty ideal for the C9.25... 2.5x not enough and 4xusually a bit too much. Reckon a 50mm extension would be a good thing to start with. I wouldn't buy one especially. You can use any old barlow you might have just unscrew the lens and voila... instant extension tube
