Skywatcher 180mm f/15 Maksutov, focal length 2700mm. The poor-mans Questar 7.

This one is optically excellent, will not disappoint visual observers interested in lunar & planetary, it easily delivers beautiful images at 300X with a 9mm eyepiece. Collimation is perfect. Image shift when focusing is negligible at 300X. It is also useful for DSO's - has a 2" back and can easily fill a 2" 38mm UWA eyepiece and in dark skies pulls in galaxies out of reach of a 5" APO or 6" scope.

Depending how you store it, may show a tube-current at first, so be prepared to let it cool down but from then on this is a very, very nice scope which easily betters any 8" SCT.

Note: this includes the OTA and original Skywatcher 8x50 finderscope only. OTA is in excellent cosmetic condition. Underneath it has a Vixen rail with the usual wear from the first mount I had.

Only reason for parting with this is that a significantly larger mak with known pedigree became available, which I have acquired.
