Some folk like magenta stars in NB images but this leftover from the SII integration can draw too much focus away from the object.
Tou can make a dramatic change simply by opening the 'selective colour' dialogue in PS, selecting 'magenta' from the drop down menu and dragging the 'magenta' slider to -100%. You can achieve the same result in PI under histogram transformation.
Obviously, an even better result can be achieved if you isolate (mask) the stars.
