I managed to get some time this weekend to combine the NB data for this image.
This go round I opted to present landscape. To me M16 now looks like a face with eyes closed and as Colin pointed out, contemplating a grub?
M16 and Sharpless SH2-54, NB and LRGB
The Ha data here is quite something in its own right, there is also Oiii in SH2-54 but not much and very little Sii so I left that out.
I also tried PI's new Photometric colour calibration when reprocessing the RGB data and its quite impressive being based on catalogues of nearby G2V stars and the coordinates of the main object
