Not sure for the B16 to lathe chuck, ( i have only ever seen B16 with the std drill chucks ) but for many lathe chucks, you can get them with a blank adapter plate.
You first fit the adapter plate to the lathe spindle you are going to use then machine it down flat and square, then bolt on the chuck????
Just for info, does your drill press have a morse taper spindle ????
Many use a small morse to BT16 spindle adapter but the MT is bolted into the head.
Open the top of the press and if you see a bolt/nut on the top of the spindle, you may be able to release it and push out the existing adapter and hence be able to use std fittings.
