New fridge
Hi Alex
I know the feeling, I’m pushing 60 and the priorities in life seem to change. There was always “new fridge” before, but with the age come sad but unescapable fact that I’m not going to be here forever. So the things that I dreamed about for decades have became more important then the” new fridge”. So I’m slowly getting astronomical gear that I want – no that I can afford. Luckily, my wife understands, so far.
Living somewhere without electricity, well more and more often I wish that I were in your place. One of my big mistakes was not to buy place somewhere in the sticks when the prices were still reasonable.
Spending my first 20 years of life in the one of former communist countries, I was raised on stupid and meaningless communist slogans and as I’m getting older I find it difficult to swallow correctness and other bull that is fed to us by the government. I feel like I’m listening to old communist propaganda. I miss Australia as it was 35 years ago.
