I don't use my Meade LS 8 to image, its only used as a visual scope. My 6" RC is my main imaging scope.
The ZWO dosn't have any blocking filters like most DSLRs have. So it has a wide open visual spectrum to capture more Ha light. I moved from a Nikon D7100 and it has made a huge improvement over DSLRs. It also has a cooler so you can cool down the chip, I set it to -15C.
I use the sky X to control my imaging camera and PHD2 to control my ZWO guider.
