It will be good if you can make it out as you will then get to try out the equipment you are interested in.

I can't comment on the 80mm, but I have the Celestron clone 102mm and it's not a bad scope. Certainly it's an Achromat and it has a pretty poor R&P focuser, but the view through it are nothing to sneeze at.

If you do decide on the AOE, beware the EQ2 mount. See if you can get it on at least an eq3/4
