God no please don't suggest to a total noob that they attempt to futz with collimation. The likely result will be a trip to Bintel to fix whatever done in ignorance.


Mark the only things you should attempt at this stage are

1. Run the focusser through its entire range. It's a lot of turns I know but eventually you will find focus.

2. Align the finderscope on some distant target.

3. Don't force any of the knobs. If they stop rotating there is a reason and force will damage or break something.

Enjoy your new toy under nice skies and learn what it can do.
