Seems some people lose tolerance as they get older

Should have seen the kerfuffle when I advised my (EX!) energy supplier Origin they had misread the meter. (up 255% on previous read) After discussing this for some extended period with the Phillipine call centre, I finally got some action by calling their media centre line in Melbourne. (A very craftily hidden number) They said but you've got the media office, to which the reply was "if you can't put me through to the Melb sales office I'm going to the media! They wanted $95.00 to come out and have another go at reading a very basic analogue readout before doing anything else. A couple of emails to the energy ombudsman later had it sorted, and apart from the extra $2.00 for the postage of the renewed bill they almost got it right. Refused to pay the bill till they credited the $2 postage first, the person on the other end of the phone declaring "why can't you just pay it, its only a couple of dollars", then she got upset when I invited her to pay it out of her own pocket if that's all it was. As a result, Red Energy now has a new customer and I recommend them. (They're supposedly 100% Aus, but I take that with a grain of salt.)
