You still need to get around the fact that not all containers get loaded/unloaded at a single port.
Unless you can load/unload the "selected" containers, then its a futile exercise to go any further.

( also used to play with heavy stuff and transporter units locally, but that was only in the hundreds of tons. Watching some of the engineering involved in moving 40000+ ton modules for offshore platforms in the North Sea ( Norwegian GullFaks ), i can say its not going to be cheap :-) )
