Celestron Nexstar C8i SCT

selling up, had enough.

Celestron Nexstar C8i Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope, * inch diameter, focal length just over 2000mm F/10. It has goto with tracking and guide port in nice condition with the optional extras GPS attachment for quick setup and dew shield. Has a Celestron 2" visual back mirror diagonal with 1.25" adapter. You will need a 12 volt battery and cable or you can run it off AA batteries. I will be keeping my small motorcycle battery.

I've had this scope for some years and it's given me some great views and produced my best astrophotography.

The red dot finder will need replacing and the mount will need a basic service, re-grease etc. It has a good side when tracking and a not so good side when tracking. The not so good side when tracking you'll notice it stick every 4 seconds or so, it still continues to track, it's just annoying. This is the top part of the plastic mount housing rubbing on the lower half of the plastic mount housing just around one side.

Can see it working before purchase.

$1500 pick only from the Mandurah area WA
