Jupiter and its Moons 10/7/06

Last night I received my new camera mount that clamps to the eyepiece holder of the scope (thanks Dad ). I couldn't wait to try it out so I took a few quick shots of Jupiter with it.

Focusing seems to be the big issue at the moment. I don't have tracking so it is hard to focus in the time it takes Jupiter to travel through the FOV. That plus the fact that I am trying to focus on a 2" screen on the back of the camera.

5 frames of Jupiter: 1/30 sec, f4.8, ISO 400
1 frame to get the moons: 1/10 sec, f4.8, ISO 400

Stacking done in Registax and overlaying done in Photoshop.
