What I'd really like to be able to do, without darkening and losing the limb too much, is darken the colours and increase their intensity. To me it looks like there is a thin coat of white wash over the top. Darkening the colours is easy but using level, contrast, curves etc eats into the limb.
I'll get there though.
I've been surprised at what image size I can get with the 8". I'd love to have one of those really excellent nights and see how far I can push it. Atm this scale seems to be the maximum I can go and still keep the detail acceptable. If I get a chance today I'll post a smaller image that I took earlier.
