HOTT planet characterised with help from oz AAs

The hot Jupiter planet is way close to its unrevolving star and only about 1200 deg K cooler than the Sun. It leaves a comet like tail of hydrogen and helium.

"The discovery included observations made by three Australian amateur astronomers Thiam-Guan Tran from Perth, Ivan Curtis in Adelaide and Chris Stockdale from Hazelwood in Victoria."
