My distance vision is still perfect, but my close accomodation is pathetic - arms length minimum now.
I use 1x el-cheapos from Big W. I had a pair of OPSM, but they lasted all of 4 months before breaking into a pile of twisted flimsiness. The Big W ones have out-lasted the too bloody expensive OPSM ones by a factor of 10.
$400 vs $12...hmmmm.
