I also had not-so-great experience with Couriers Please. Few times (5?) I made express next-day guaranteed delivery order of electronics parts. Not a single time did Couriers Please delivered the next day while Toll always did.
I know it does not come close to not picking up or loosing packages but it is another warning sign.
