"Scope" 60/700 achromat

Yes, "Scope" is the brand! Weird huh! Some rumours abound on these, as no one seems firm WHO made them - some were made by Takahashi (AVA marked label), some Towa (circle T) - this one seems to be Towa. It seems these were mass-market Japanese, assembled by various firms regardless.

This one is typical Scope blue - actually very attractive. As you can see, it's seen better days. The original dewshield (included) is badly damaged, so I obtained a replacement from a US source. The colour match is CLOSE but not perfect.

The right angle finder is cute. Optically, not so cute. Useable - JUST.

The diagonal is pretty good (glass prism). NO EP (sorry keeping the 8-24 zoom that came with it for my Yamamoto).

The objective is clean, chip free and a good figure. It performs surprisingly well with a good EP like a Unitron or Vixen.

The tube is...well...yeah. Honest I guess I took the cradle and alt-az bits off (included of course), but there is NO tripod. I have a shake-o-matic Velbon photo tripod you can have with it. It'd make an interesting collectable - when was the last time you saw one? Or even a cheap guidescope.

Price. Well, the replacement dewshield cost me $20 US, and the telescope cost me $30. I'll throw in the photo tripod as mentioned. How's $50 POSTED?
