nice blob. Is the focus not quite there? Although hand holding 2 seconds is a terrific feat anyway. I fear that you are at the cross roads. Either a bracket to hold the afocal point and shoot, or a DSLR, sorry mate.
I built a bracket a while back to allow my point and shoot to be used afocally, although I never did long exposure stuff, just solar short exposure stuff.
It ain't rocket science, you just need to make a few things.
