Please let a newbie ask a question - Am curious - lets assume M78 is 10 Light years diameter and 1,600 light years from Earth
Draw an imaginary sphere 1,600 lightyears in radius with centre in my backyard in Victoria.
Have the fancy big telescopes , by now, "looked" at every "10 square lightyear" of that spherical surface and taken all of the possible stunning photos on that spherical surface that are equivalent to this current M78 photo ?
