Post White dwarf X9 is closest star found orbiting a black hole. Velocity: 12 million km/h

In an article today in the Sydney Morning Herald, Marcus Strom
reports on evidence of a star orbiting a black hole at just 2.5
times the distance between the Earth and the Moon.

The black hole and star are in the globular cluster 47 Tucanae.
