Not sure if you have heard from Tony. I sent an email per his instructions a day or so before your post. I asked the same question you did. He responded with yes the mount can be sold separately. I've emailed a few times both with an offer and to see if Tony has received any of my further emails.
So far, I have not heard back from him. I do hope he's ok.
Have you had better luck?
