Yes i understood that Alex, i was refering to the amount widefield imaging is forgiving regarding polar alignment.

I have an efs10-22mm lens for my 350 that gives me a fair exposure time without trailing, the widest ef lens i have for the 5d is 28-105mm, which gives me exposures around the 20-30 second mark before trailing ruins the image.

I am hoping to get a decent polar alignment with the eq5 and see how far i can push the exposures, even doing a drift alignment to get it as close as can be.

I am sure looking forward to getting this setup out into the dark gathering photons.
