...........Dubbo is good place to stop after that there isn't much and I wouldn't stop over night in Wellington, Cowra you can get a good feed at the Japanese Gardens (only other cheap/quick choice is MacD's which does have a park and a visitor center next door) , good pie shop in Boorowa (on the right after roundabout), Yass you'd have to go into the main street or its Mcd's at the petrol station but by then your nearly there, watch out for lunatcis on the Barton into Canberra.
