Hi All,
Thanks for the comments, sory to hear your are not active at the moment Alex, and Lester-yes the Focal reducer is made for an F-10 SCT, which gives about F-5 on the ED80 which is normally F-7.5, big thing is is does the coma correction which the single element reducers wont, eg.(MOGG reducer) and will fit the ED80 using an "ANTARES" 2" adaptor which isnt expensive, there is a cheaper reducer which will work also, look at:

Mike, who ive had some dealings with (bought my adaptor from him) and will send normal mail, which a lot of overseas firms wont.
Im attaching another (cropped) picture taken at the same time (different lot though) seems to have less guiding error (stars in M8) although its a bit confusing because the stars adjcent to M8 are not distorted, any ideas.
