Skywatcher Half-Pillar Extension for EQ6/Atlas/CGEM

Since I have sold my NEQ6 I no longer have a need for my Half-Pillar Extension. I bought it to use the top section as an ad hoc pier mount, which is possible on any flat plate top plate with a centre hole. It was used on my observatory pier for a couple of years. I am offering the reassembled complete pillar for sale here, for $60; the retail price at Andrews is $99, more elsewhere.

This tripod extension tube fits directly onto the original tripod of the EQ6, Celestron CGEM and Orion Atlas.

Advantages:
- Even with longer telescopes, a meridian flip can be done without the danger
of a telescope colliding with the tripod.
- The tripod legs don't have to be extended fully thus increasing the total
system stiffness.
- The maximum height can be raised without the need of purchasing a new
tripod.
- The top section can be used as an adhoc pier mount when through bolted to a flat top plate.

Technical details:
- length: 22 cm
- EQ6 mount/tripod interface on both sides
- Includes a central pivot bolt with ball bearings for securing the mount to the pillar and still allow Az adjustment.

Photos Attached.

I am prepared to ship to any Australian address for an additional $15, or local pickup can be arranged. This is a solid steel tube pillar so it has a bit of weight to it, I am absorbing some of the shipping cost.

If interested please PM me here at IIS. Thanks for looking.
