I want soooo many things, with soooo not much money
Anyhow, stop whingeing...
My next upgrade was planed as a narrow-band CCD
ATIK-414 mono with Astrodon 1.25" NB filters.
However I just saw Bintel's sale price of CGE PRO FOR $4990.
This would be an upgrade from my CGEM-DX. At the moment I use it with the GSO 6RC/DSLR combo and C14 for planets.... but with the bigger mount with less PE the C14HD would have a 'chance' with the AP 067 reducer.... me think.
So, I could get a bigger mount now instead the CCD/NBF... well, I'm not sure. My 'real' dream is a secondhand AP900GTO imported from the US. Now, that would be the ultimate EQ for the C14.
Did anyone imported an AP900 and turned out OK? How much for shipping/insurance?
Or, should I just be happy with Celestron CGE PRO for a reasonable price? I do worry reliability and spare parts for the Celestron, burn out motors reported etc.
