Seems the highest spot for miles, no lights for 100 klms to South and its 25ks South of a one horse town. No lights to West for 100klms. And a nice light free corridor to the North a bit of land then ocean, great views of M31 etc
State forrest all around.

Tabulam certainly looks and sounds like a lovely spot but it is on the well-watered north coast and at a relatively low altitude. There are some hills to the east which may give some rain-shadow effect but I would still be concerned about the number of cloudy nights. I imagine that when it is good there it is very good but how often is that and how often does the weather 'bless agricultural man'?
