They were pathetic.
That style of music (with thematics) was done more than ten years ago by a band called GWAR.
The main riff of that song is something that I've heard a long time ago, as well. I just can't remember the name of it. I'll post if I recall.
It's so sad that the music of today is nothing but mainstream commercialised garbage catering for the lowest common denominator. Gone are the days where musicians were musicians and made music for the sake of making music; it was what they did best. I only have to mention The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Jethro Tull, to name but a few.
