Tony, it is a little higher than it should be for the most comfortable viewing position. I knew this when I was making it but the extra 100 - 200mm in height makes a fair bit of difference when it comes to seeing over the trees and bushes in the area. I rarely need to stand on a box to view so it's worked out well, but I wouldn't want to be much shorter!
