Churchill was one of the greatest leaders of all time... well, that was my opinion before I became a student of history.
Now, after much study on the subject, I believe he was one of the most unconscionable and corrupt psychopaths ever to have misappropriated God's oxygen. The deeply flattering caricature we associate with the memory of Winston can be put down to the momentum of propaganda. The truth of it is vastly different. At best, he was little more than a perpetually drunk puppet with rivers of blood on his hands and was instrumental in the financial ruination of a generation (the world over).
