I'm a photographer of many years and have been considering getting a scope for ages. Tonight I was blown away by actually seeing the moon through a telescope and have decided to finally make a purchase.
My wife and I are keen to use the scope to view planets, moon and galaxies but I also want to expand my photography to astrophotography.
I already use a 5dmkii and have a range of tripods, etc.
Budget for first telescope would be around $500AUD. What would be a good choice? Is it even enough to dabble in astrophotography or should we just stick to viewing with a budget like that?
