uhm... could be... if I understood what that really means...

I took this creative commons version

and lasso-split it in Gimp, then reduced saturation.

I suppose, doing something like this with the original black and white image layered by the true image result of added RGB would show more contrast and details and would be more impressive then this?
Because it wouldn't take away anything like my Wiki-CC-edit - but use all the data that is in the original 2 images.

But at least I already see the advantage in doing what I proposed.
The intrinsic structures in the b/w part of the image really stand out - while the colored part suggests what the other would look like, as well.
