Peter, I'd beware of canned air unless you're sure it contains no propellant.
Just open it up with Bulb and see what you've got there...air puffer should be sufficient, worst case scenario, try some isoproyl alcohol on a clean cloth and you should be OK. It's the same solution (diluted with a little distilled water) that is often used for cleaning optics... refractors, eyepieces, corrector lenses...
