If the value tops at $5k, then you can utilise the CTTT in NSW. No lawyers, and legally binding judgment.
I think it may set you back $50 or so to get a time slot.
Then when your win is in the public records, you can flash the link to all and sundry! Although I reckon they would try to settle without blame.
