Early Coronado h Alpha blocking filter overhaul
Looking for assistance.
I have found that an optical element in the blocking filter has 'rusted'. It is a very early one, 10-15 years old (pre PST, pre Meade and all black), where the tuning is done by turning a screw on the blocking filter, which adjust the angle of the filter. Can these elements be replaced? I have contacted Meade, who did not seem interested at all. Or if the element can not be replaced would a newer blocking filter be compatible with the much earlier etalon?
