You should try and get out in the desert some time. Get right away from any lights, say, take the Gunbarrel Highway out past Wiluna until you can't see any glow from towns or mines. Then, you'll see the Milky Way and that as it should be. Bright enough to cast shadows
You'll get great snaps from there!!.
