Dave I can relate to your report re all the ESO Mcg and Ncg galaxies around Ngc 5128, with smaller telescopes one doesn't see the amount of galaxies in that area.
I first observed Fourcade-Figueoa Galaxy about 2 years ago after seeing an observing report on the Yahoo group website amastro, there are quite a few
ESO galaxies visible in medium to large scope quite close by. Great report
